The Lowry City Council Meeting was called to order on May 5, 2026 at 7:00 pm by Dan Sutton with the Pledge of Allegiance. |

CONSENT AGENDA: |
Approve April’s minutes, Treasurer’s report, pay bills Ck 14024- 14059 and payroll checks 3020 to 3025. Motion made by Virgil to approve consent agenda; second by Trish. All voted aye, motion carried |

VISITOR’S COMMENTS: |
Bill Stark- Applied for permit to add a 6 x 20 deck. Motion made by Virgil, second by DJ. All voted aye, motion carried. Also came to discuss run off water causing damage to his property. Will continue to investigate. Andrew Lemcke- Came to discuss possible incomplete restoration of his driveway access after highway project. He was provide contact information for MNDOT to discuss his concerns. |

OLD BUSINESS: |
Discussion on where we stand with Dodds Construction permit. Understood that he still needs to provide a plan for sewer line problem to council. |

NEW BUSINESS: |
Resolution #218- Liquor License Entities serving at Community Center Events- Concern for damage responsibility. Will confirm coverage with Lowry Insurance. Re-visit topic at June meeting. Fire/ First Responder Contracts- Have received signed copies for Lake Mary, Minnewaska and Ben Wade townships. Also fire contract for Reno. These contracts are for 2027/2028. Will mail out signed copy to townships. Executive Sanitation- Wondering when they should hook up portable toilet. Discussion held and decision to get second toilet and move the handicap facility closer to the warming house for better access. Motion made by DJ, second by Trish. All voted aye, motion carried. Will let ES know to hook up when available. Record Retention- Elin and Jackie have set a date to inventory old records. Contact was made with shredding company and can pick up when they are in town. Motion made by DJ, second by Trish. All voted aye, motion carried. |

OTHER ITEMS OF DISCUSSION: |
Discussion was had about getting another dumpster for clean up day in Lowry. Will reach out to TKI for cost. Also discussed TKI’s clean up day will be May 16th. Contact was made with Lundblads to clean up the plot at the park where the shed used to be. Dan had a conversation with Amber H about wishes for playground equipment at City Park. She expressed safety concerns about high structures at Community Center park. Will see what we can do to ensure safety for younger kids. |
